Our History
A Proud History The Diagnostic Clinic of Houston was established in 1957 when the nine founding members joined together to form a group practice. This organization was conceived in an attempt to provide the patients with the highest quality health care.

The Diagnostic Clinic is unique among large clinics in that its services are largely confined to the field of internal medicine and diagnosis. While many of the Clinic physicians practice within this broad field, a number of subspecialty disciplines are represented, including cardiology, endocrinology, hematology, gastroenterology, oncology, neurology, pulmonary disease, nephrology, and rheumatology. Also represented in the Clinic are several specialties closely related to internal medicine, including radiology and nuclear medicine.

The surgical specialties are not provided by the Clinic. Many experts in these fields practice in the medical center area, and are available for consultation on request by the Clinic's physicians.

A majority of the Clinic Staff has faculty appointments at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston, The Baylor College of Medicine, or The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, and contributes many hours to these endeavors. Also, members of the Staff have been elected as officers of county, state and national medical and civic organizations.

The Diagnostic Clinic of Houston is poised to meet the health care challenges of the next century!
